The Hallman family has been building new homes, new condos, and apartment buildings in the Kitchener-Waterloo region for over four generations, culminating in the founding of Aberdeen Homes in the early 90s.

Nathan Hallman
Nathan Hallman

The 4th generation of his family to build homes in the Waterloo region, Nathan is the President and Project Manager of Aberdeen Homes. With an eduction in urban planning followed by positions with Habitat for Humanity, a local commercial contractor and property management company in Toronto, he returned to the family business of building homes with the promise of quality, integrity & tradition.

Nathan is a member of the Waterloo Region Home Builders Association, the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, the Centre for Family Business and the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses.

In his spare time, Nathan enjoys playing with his kids, camping and playing hockey.

Jim Hallman
Jim Hallman

Jim’s been in the construction industry his entire life, learning on the job from his grandfather Anson, his father Lyle and his uncle Ward, all builders themselves. He founded Aberdeen Homes in 1995 and now acts in an advisory capacity for his son Nathan, who continues the tradition today.

Jim’s hobbies include cars and motorcycles, as well as travel and spending time at his cottage.

Claudia Haack
Claudia Haack

Claudia is the Controller at Aberdeen Homes and is responsible for all the financial and accounting activities in the company. Having joined Aberdeen Homes just 8 years ago, she’s been in the accounting world for over 37, starting as an invoicing clerk and moving up to the position of controller. Her education is in Financial Accounting and Certified General Accounting, and then Canadian Business Law at the University of Waterloo.

In her spare time, Claudia enjoys gardening, baking and sewing. On a more active note, she can be found sailing and walking.

Karen Darling
Karen Darling

Karen has been the Customer Care and Quality Assurance person for Aberdeen Homes since July 2012, with over 20 years’ experience in the customer service sector. She’s the person who makes sure that the home owners’ needs are not only met but exceeded, and that the homes built live up to the very high standards of Aberdeen Homes.
When she has some free time, Karen enjoys golfing, reading and watching movies.

Rebecca Hallman
Rebecca Hallman

Rebecca has been the Marketing Coordinator at Aberdeen Homes since the middle of 2011, with a goal to connect with home buyers to communicate the company’s reputation for quality and integrity. She’s responsible for the company’s online presence through their website, Facebook and Pinterest pages as well as the Twitter feed.

Rebecca’s also the creative force behind the interiors of Aberdeen Homes show homes, utilizing her interior design education as well as hands-on experience to introduce new and on-trend design elements and to ensure every home is built for its owner to enjoy.

Outside of work, Rebecca spends her time with her husband Nathan and their young, active children in on-the-go activities and sports.
